Travel Guide to Weird Tourist Attractions Across America

Do you like to search out weird tourist attractions?

Do you drive out of your way to see a funky folk art environment made out of found items?

Do you plan your roadtrips around giant, larger than life roadside oddities?

Would you rather stay in a haunted bed and breakfast than a chain motel?

And how about food? Would you rather go to a fast food restaurant or try the kitschy little diner up the street?

If you answered yes, a resounding "YES!" this site's for you.

Yep. That's what this site is all about:

  • Tacky tourist traps

  • Unusual lodgings

  • Weird food or the "absolute best" dish at a local restaurant
  • An unknown back road

  • A curious natural attraction

  • Offbeat tours

  • Cool rides (trains, canal boats, trams, carousels, you know--cool rides)

For eons (positively eons!) I’ve been collecting information for weird tourist attractions across America. I’ve read a gazillion travel guides. I’ve spent a bazillion hours on the internet. My poor little MR-2 has gone places it was never meant to and I’ve talked to tons of people.

”What’s weird or unusual to see around here?”

Always, I mean always!!! if there's two or more people together, one will point to another and say, "They are weird and unusual!"

So should I change my question? Maybe ask "What's a weird tourist attraction to see around here?"

Nah. It's a good laugh and once people realize I'm looking for weird tourist attractions that other people can see too, they start digging into their brains and come up with all sorts of wonderfully different tourist attractions.

So many weird tourist attractions!

So many road trips to go on...
