Ivy House Inn

Bed and Breakfast

Casper, Wyoming

At the Ivy House Inn Bed and Breakfast in Casper, Wyoming you can sleep with a ghost cat.

Yeah.

For reals!

Well, that is if the cat deigns to grace you with its presence.

And actually, there are two of them.

Siamese, if you please.

Evidently, these cats liked the place so well, they’re sticking around. For a long long time! They are often seen scampering through the building and once one of them slept on the end of a guest’s bed, purring up a storm.

They were owned by Mrs. White, a previous owner. She’s a ghost, too. She’ll knock on guests’ doors and if they don’t answer quick enough, she turns the doorknob.

The story goes that this Cape Cod style house was built in 1916 by Mr. and Mrs. White. It’s 3 stories tall and was finally completely finished in 1940 when two grand front porches were added.

Don’t drink or smoke in Mrs. White’s former abode, as she doesn’t like those kinds of habits. But just because you aren’t drinking or smoking, you still may run into her. She’s the ghost seen most often. Her face appears in mirrors. You’ll know she’s around when strange old-timey smells happen like menthol cold medicine. And she’s also shown up in photos. (Don’t forget your camera!)

Or maybe you’ll see a man in the back parking lot, where the car alarms go off regularly.

So be in tune when you stay at this haunted hotel. You never can tell what ghost you’ll see, cats, man, woman?

Or all?

Ivy House Inn Bed and Breakfast is at 815 South Ash, Casper Wyoming. To reserve your haunted room, call (307) 265-0974.
