Treehouse Lodgings
Across the USA
There’s something about treehouse lodgings that just appeals. Maybe it’s going back to being a kid. Did you have a treehouse when you were a kid?
Or is treehouse supposed to be spelled with a space? Tree house? Hmmm. Well, either way, it’s a house in a tree.
Treehouses can range from a platform in a tree to a full on real-live house that people live in everyday. They are usually built in the branches around the tree trunk. However, some treehouses are built on stilts so the living area is on the same level as the branches.
Here’s some of those great unusual lodgings where you can spend the night up in a tree –
Hawaii
There's a balcony with a couple hammocks and great ocean views at this
treehouse.
Oregon
A
bunch of treehouses
all in one place. Lots of hanging bridges. Lots of stairs. Plus a zip line, too! If you can’t spend the night, at least take their tour.
South Carolina
Take a lazy canoe ride down down a slow-moving river to this
treehouse.
Washington
Sleep in a cabin fifty feet up in the air in a centuries old Cedar tree. At these
treehouse lodgings
there’s lots of stairs and a hanging bridge, too!
